After an amazing launch in 2014, Startup Weekend (powered by Google for Entrepreneurs) returns to Lancaster bringing together designers, developers, marketers and business people for a 54-hour startup marathon! The event will be taking place from November 20th – 22nd, in the Lancaster University Management School Hub.
This year the organisers have partnered up with some of the biggest surrounding startup communities, inviting selected teams from across the North West UK to participate in the event. Apart from raising the overall quality of your experience, this will allow you to expand your network of like-minded peers and startup enthusiasts across the country!
So how does it work? 60-second pitches result in the formation of small teams around the best, most viable concepts. 54 hours are spent focusing on customer and product development, validating ideas and building prototypes with the help of experienced mentors. Finally, each team has the chance to present their results and receive feedback from a panel of high profile entrepreneurs and community leaders.
